Record of the Oasis Grove: Rosethorn's Gift

Rosethorn's recovery has finally finished. Despite her wounds being taken care of nearly from the time of her rescue, her mental and emotional wounds took much longer to properly heal. It is all thanks to the combined efforts of those at the Oasis grove she could recover at all. Even the Eldest sent an herbal tea to help Rosethorn ease from the tension, of course only it was checked thoroughly by Willow and Vyula.

Finally able to rejoin the collective, Rosethorn toured her new home in silence as she allowed it's natural wonders to fill her senses. Pleased and overcome with a new happiness, something she had not felt in quite awhile, she began to bloom once more. Her delicate flowers, rose of the softest pinks and deepest reds appeared over her thorny flesh and she wore them like an elegant dress as she seemed to glide across the grove's grounds. She approached her tree and touched it gently but nodded to herself as she did, watched by the other fey.

With a confident hand she reached up and removed a small still green and pliable branch. With branch in hand she nearly danced to the tree which is to become the home of Willow and Amendil. Here with a bit of dryad power she grafted her branch to the tree and stepped back with a smile.

Calling out to Willow and Amendil. magically amplified by the trees of the grove to reach their ears and only their ears, "Soon our child, Willow, will be born and with her the gift of melding the tree. Please grant her a name, the juvenile dryad you will find about the tree and the tree itself - the home to our daughter, you, and handsome Amendil!"

Amendil and Willow lounged by the lake at the Grove's center as they snacked on some fruit, and playfully bantered with each other in elven. As Rosethorn's voice echoed through the grove, the two elves paused and looked at each other.

Amendil blinked once in surprise, then after a moment he grinned at Willow. "Did I just hear that right... what have we done now?" Despite his confusion, Amendil seemed genuinely delighted by the fact Rosethorn was once more out and about, her being with child, and that their dream home would soon become a reality.

Willow snickers watching Amendil's reaction then grins. "I suppose I do not need to hug anyone else." She says playfully as she eats a few more pieces of fruit.

After a few moments of pondering she grins and looks at Amedil. "What about Amastacia for her name?"

Amendil grinned at the elven word. "Star Flower? I think that's a perfect name." He stood and offered his hand to her. "Let's go tell Rosethorn in person." As Willow took his hand, the two elves danced off into the woods to share the name with the Dryad face to face.

As the Elves danced their way through the forest, they soon came face to face with Rosethorn.  Before she could speak, a small giggle could be heard from behind her as a small lithe figure rushed out toward the two.  A large smile crossed the small Dryad's face as she ran and hugged onto Willow's legs -- reaching at best only to the stomach of the Elf in height.

The little Dryad looked akin to Rosethorn in color though she lacked the thorns of her mother and was covered in small soft pink and lavender pentas flowers that merged enough to be as if a small summer child's dress.  She has a sweet scent as if honeysuckle and her small hands are soft as one would expect.  She has the strangest yet very beautiful bright red-hued amber eyes.

Her voice is gentle and soft yet clear when she asked her only question so far as she stared up at Willow, "What is my name?"

Willow grins and bends down to look her in the eyes. "Amastacia, we will call you Amastacia. You are our star flower." She kisses her softly on her forehead. "Do you like it?"

Amendil smiled softly at the two, already sensing the love that Willow had for the young fey.

A broad grin crossed the little fey's face as she nodded in confirmation of her name. Hugging Willow's legs and running to hug Amendil's afterwards, the young Dryad seemed very happy and even twirled as she moved about the two them. She paused and looked at the giant tree that and called out her name, "Amastacia!"

As her name echoed throughout the grove, the large tree seemed to come to life before the gathering. It bend, twisted, extended, shorted, and all other manners of movement but soon the two Elves quickly realized it was taking form of a dwelling.

Amastacia spoke to her "parents" as they would note at this point her eyes are shut, "We have a connection with one another for the moment, bring into mind what you desire for our home...," her words seemed more focused and not her own fully but no ill feeling could be felt. It seems this is the way these things are done, she is the House Fey so to speak.
